Job Description	Act as the face of the department; interact politely and knowledgeably with walk-in visitors Pick up and deliver mail, Document Services projects, and other deliveries on campus. Assists with preparation for special events, e.g., department sponsored seminars, teas, and department gatherings. Create posters and ads for various department events using Canva, Google Docs, and similar applications Type letters, documents, spreadsheets, reports, labels as directed, using appropriate computer applications. Scan documents and creates PDFs Assists with webpage updates Perform general housekeeping tasks in the office area. Knowledge, Skills and/or Perspectives Acquired or Developed on the Job: Reinforcing Institution-wide Goals for Student Learning Thinking Critically and Analyze Effectively Communicate Effectively
Job Requirements	Work study is required for this position. A strong ability to work with and communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds. Ability to use computer and thorough knowledge of the following software programs, Google Docs additionally, (preferred but not required) knowledge of Canva, Piktochart, and Adobe Suite. Knowledge of standard office procedures: filing, typing, copying, correspondence, scanning etc. Good organizational skills. Personal courtesy in meeting and greeting visitors; mature demeanor appropriate to an office setting. Work hours are schedule M-F between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and occasional evenings for department sponsored events An interest in Math, Statistics and Computer Science is not required
Benefits	Sick and Safe Time Student employees accrue sick and safe time at an accrual rate of one hour for every 30 hours paid. Sick and safe time is not paid out upon departure. Review the full sick and safe time policy on the Student Employment website.
