While on-the-job training will be provided, intersted candidates should possess the following skills: - Work study is required for this position
- A strong ability to work with and communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to use computer and software programs, such as Google (calendar, forms, sheets, etc.) and Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of standard office procedures: filing, copying, correspondence, scanning, etc.
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional phone etiquette; personal courtesy in meeting and greeting visitors; mature demeanor appropriate to an office setting
- Work hours should be scheduled from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Occasional work opportunities after 4:30 p.m. for department sponsored events
