Job Description

Art Office Assistant tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet visitors and answer their questions politely
  • Pick up mail and run other errands as needed
  • Assist with planning special events (lectures, meetings and department gatherings) and help carry out tasks related to them, ie. create posters and post them around campus, make phone calls and help with menu planning
  • Help with office tasks, such as occasionally reconciling pCards
  • Use multi-functional device to scan, print and make photocopies for faculty
  • Help with keeping the office and surrounding areas clean
  • Post information on bulletin boards and keep them updated
Job Requirements
  • Able to work with and communicate effectively and politely with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Must show initiative and be willing to work independently
  • Must be skillful with Google products; knowledge of Photoshop preferred, though not required
  • Good organizational skills 
  • Must be prompt and must find substitutes when unable to work
  • Interest in Art and Art History

  • Student employees accrue sick and safe time at an accrual rate of one hour for every 30 hours paid.
