Macalester College Information Technology Services invites applications for the ITS Asset Assistant role. This person should be detail oriented, precise, accurate; while being able to function independently and autonomously with little direction. The role will assist ITS staff in both daily workflows as well as project-based functions that have a direct effect on campus stakeholders. The incumbent will assist ITS professional staff by providing the front-line effort to process goods purchased by ITS for campus stakeholders. On a project basis, systematically update inventory records with deployed ITS assets. On an as needed basis, the incumbent should expect to advance the College's sustainability goals through their work. Tasks associated with this duty include collecting and delivering specialized waste generated and collected by ITS to the appropriate on-campus collection location. Materials related to this task include, but are not limited to: electronic component waste, polystyrene, and plastic film. The incumbent will also be expected to prepare and assist with hauler pickups of this specialized waste. Incumbent should be comfortable being charged with the responsibility of high-value electronics and heavy, cumbersome items. |
