Job Description The Programming Assistant (PA) is a part-time, student staff member of the Department of Residential Life. PAs are a member of a team responsible for coordinating, marketing, implementing, and assessing social programming in the residence halls. This involves communicating with residential students on various platforms (Google suite applications like email, calendar, forms, sheets, docs; social media; Involve), tracking attendance at events, and assessing learning strategies. PAs can work closely with Resident Assistants (RAs) and report directly to a Residence Hall Director (RHD). This position is 10 hours per week. Responsibilities Work with other Residential Life staff, and with campus partners to coordinate social programming Collect artifacts for social programming including photos, reflections, themes, graphics, etc. Manage hall pages and events online through Involve software Promote events and document turnout via Email, Involve, and Residential Life’s social media Maintain communication with supervisor and Residential Life staff Attend weekly meetings with other PAs and check ins with supervisor Complete event summaries and reflections and submit them to supervisor Work with the Office Assistant (OA) to pick up posters from the Campus Center and hang them in the residential area, twice per week Complete other programming projects as needed Self manage projects and task independently, with the ability to meet set deadlines
