Job Description

The Center for Disability Resources Accessibility Assistant will be responsible for supporting the
testing accommodations process including assisting with prepping materials and proctorings
exam. The Accessibility Assistant also greets and assists students/staff/faculty and guests who
visit CDR.
Center for Disability Resource Access Assistant Job Description:

 

  • Supporting proctoring exams: scanning exams, checking with CDR staff to assist with proctoring
  • Providing front desk coverage by greeting students, faculty, staff and guests
  • Assisting with text/document conversion
  • Supporting students with scheduling appointments
  • Assisting students/faculty with the AIM database
  • Creating social media content and develop marketing materials for events/programs
  • Facilitating tasks and other projects related to supporting the center and student with disabilities
Job Requirements

Center for Disability Resources Access Assistant Job Requirements:

  • Ability to perform administrative task with high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage/process multiple requests to assist students at the front desk
  • Strong communication skills and customer service
  • Demonstrated professionalism and responsive to time-sensitive requests
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for diverse needs
  • Must be able to work 5-8 hours per week (times can vary)
  • Be in good standing with the college in relation to conduct issues; being involved in policy violations may affect employment
  • Students with Student Employment (work study) awards are given priority

Sick and Safe Time

  • Student employees accrue sick and safe time at an accrual rate of one hour for every 30 hours paid. 
  • Sick and safe time is not paid out upon departure.
