The Office of Institutional Research & Assessment conducts research on the College for the purposes of understanding student and faculty trends, evaluating progress toward strategic goals, aiding institutional decision-making, creating state and federal accountability reports, and assisting other departments in meeting their informational needs. The Research Assistant will participate in the full spectrum of these efforts through projects that involve data analysis, data visualization, and data reporting of many kinds, as well as through the administration and analysis of campus surveys. This position will also be responsible for some data entry, database maintenance, and other general office support. Typcially, the work can be completed using a variety of programs (e.g., Excel, R, SPSS, STATA, Minitab, etc.) based on student proficiencies, and training will be provided. The Institutional Research Assistant works in collaboration with the IR supervisor on most projects but can expect a relatively high degree of autonomy over the execution of project work. Flexibility in completing some of your student employment work remotely is an option for most projects. Award splits for preceptors is possible. |
