  • Setting up and restocking water stations
  • Managing radios and golf carts
  • Inventory and storage of Reunion materials
  • Additional duties as assigned

Reunion Assistants can expect to work between 25-40 hours from Tuesday, June 2 through Tuesday, June 9, with the majority of hours occurring between Wednesday morning and Saturday evening. The opportunity for additional hours may be available on Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9.

To Apply: Please complete the online application and attach a letter of interest / cover letter, including any activities or campus organizations you have been a part of, to this application. (preferably as one PDF document). Applications received by Monday, April 27, by noon will be considered for the first round of hiring; a second round will take place on a rolling basis, depending on availability between April 28 and May 15.

Contact Abbey Kamin, akamin@macalester.edu with any questions about this position.

Meals: Meals and snacks are provided during Reunion weekend, starting Wednesday evening through Sunday afternoon.

Housing: Please note that the Alumni Engagement office does not provide a stipend for housing for Reunion Assistants. If you would need on-campus housing in order to work Reunion, you must arrange for it yourself through Residential Life.

Reunion Assistants are asked to perform a wide variety of tasks over the week, so flexibility, positivity, and a can-do attitude are critical. Previous Reunion experience is not required - however, experience in the service industry, including catering, restaurants, and events is preferred. Successful Reunion Assistants are able to handle numerous duties effectively and independently with minimal supervision, and enjoy people and interacting with alumni of all ages. Reunion Assistants are often asked to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs and perform tasks that require standing for several hours.

Please note that our insurance requires students to have a valid US driver's license in order to operate golf carts. While we need the majority of our Reunion Assistants to be able to drive golf carts, it is not a requirement.

Due to the intense nature of the Reunion schedule, and the long hours required over the weekend, Reunion Assistants cannot work any other jobs on or off campus the week of June 2-9. While we strive to accommodate scheduling requests, we ask that Reunion Assistants keep their schedules open and be flexible with their hours for the week.
