Job Description

NOTE: This position is only open to students who have previously worked at the Law Warschaw Gallery. 2025 graduates are welcome to apply.
 

Gallery Assistants serve as front-line staff during key summer periods.

 

Basic tasks for Gallery Assistants include:

-       greeting visitors

-       sharing exhibition information

-       ensuring the gallery and artwork is secure during open hours

-       light tidying/cleaning of workspace

-       following opening+closing procedures required

-       consistent and timely communication between staff members, each other, and Heather Everhart is essential

Job Requirements

Senior Capstone Exhibition: Monday, May 12 – Sunday, May 18

-        Up to two people per shift

-        Total of 87 shift hours available (no more than 40 hours per person)

-        Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 11 AM – 5 PM
  • Friday–Saturday: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM (includes deinstallation support)

 

Summer-End Soft Open for Fall Exhibition: August 20 – September 1

-        Up to two people per shift

-        Hours available: TBD early August
 

Additional project-based hours may be available on an ad hoc basis, depending on funding. These will be assigned on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Heather Everhart (director & curator).

Sick and Safe Time

  • Student employees accrue sick and safe time at an accrual rate of one hour for every 30 hours paid. 
  • Sick and safe time is not paid out upon departure.
