The Newsletter Editor Is responsible for the production and timeline of the Fall and Spring History and Classical Mediterranean and Middle East department newsletters, in collaboration with the department coordinator, including: • planning and seeking content • communicating with content contributors (faculty, staff, current students, alumni) • graphic designing, editing, taking photos, and researching/writing articles • strategic planning that produces one complete newsletter for each department, each semester In addition, the newsletter editor will perform daily office tasks, when assigned and based on office needs and student availability. This may include: a) providing initial contact for Mac community and visitors by answering phones, greeting visitors, and making referrals to appropriate faculty or staff; b) picking up and delivering mail, and other errands on campus; c) provide general office support (scanning, data entry and organizing, projects and research) as needed. This job is 100% in-person; not hybrid. This is an entry-level position. |
