Job Description |
- Answer calls coming to Security and Facilities and re-routed Switchboard calls.
- Receive apporpriate training to be able to question callers and determine the specific nature of thier calls.
- Provide a triage or priority ranking for calls/requests.
- Direct callers to other campus staff as appropriate.
- Be connected to security officers via two-way radio, and be responsible for informing officers of the need for service.
- Call in back up in the event of significant emergencies or multiple high level calls.
- Provide logistical coordination during emergencies.
- Provide limited back up office support for staff during off peak times.
- Coordinate emergency event information and troubleshoot problems that may arise with staffing, facility use or event participants and notify proper staff of concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Typing, copying, filing.
- Collecting and sorting mail.
- Helping with processing key requests.
- Logging work orders.
- Projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements |
- Availability Monday- Thursday, 4:00pm - 6:00pm and Friday 11am - 1pm.
- Familiar with campus - its buildings, staff, service and resources.
- Excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone or two-way radio.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to stay calm in high stress situations.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to process detailed information quickly.
- Able to manage mutlitple tasks at the same time.
- Reliable and responsible.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Possess basic computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot specialty computer programs.

Benefits |
Sick and Safe Time - Student employees accrue sick and safe time at an accrual rate of one hour for every 30 hours paid.
