The preceptor should be an upperclassman who has previously taken the course for which they are precepting. Desired qualifications include: strong writing ability and excellent organizational skills. The preceptor should also be patient, empathetic, and a good listener, with perhaps an interest in developing their tutoring/teaching skills. By applying to this position, International Studies may contact the Title IX and Nondiscrimination Office to inquire about an applicant's disciplinary status with the college. Current or past policy violations do not automatically disqualify or exclude an applicant from this selection process. However, they may be taken into consideration. |
