Job Description

Are you a storyteller? Do you want to explore sharing stories across digital platforms? Is photography your passion? Are you ready to explore the possibilities of online community building? The Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) Department is looking for a creative and energized student to take photographs, plus create, organize and manage the department’s social media channels and photo files. 

 

This position's major responsibilities are to photograph programs and Idea Lab activities, organize and manage content for social media, and interact with a variety of students, faculty, and staff in the community workspace during activities and department events/presentations. SKILLS: Students applying must have strong photography and video content creation skills, as well as know and use a variety of social media channels - Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. - and have their own engaged following. This position works closely with the Communications and Engagement Specialist and Communications and Marketing Assistant. They must have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively to meet deadlines. Strong writing and editing skills are a plus. Ideal candidates must be familiar with and understand photography and photo filing systems.

Job Requirements

Proficient with photo and video editing programs

Creative thinker who proposes new ideas and concepts

Able to meet deadlines and act quickly

Punctual, and have a positive and friendly attitude 

Proficient with digital images and creative design elements

Strong written and verbal skills.

Able to organize information and use Google Suite, Instagram, Photoshop and Canva.

 

Additional Information

You must be available to work flexible hours including morning, daytime and evening to accommodate a good number of the department's weekly program and activity schedule, plus attend 1-2 regular morning or afternoon shifts on M, T or TH between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30pm for weekly planning meetings.
