As the Summer & Pre-Semester Coordinator (SPSC) you will take charge of overseeing and guiding Summer & Pre-Semester Assistants (SPSAs) during the Summer and Pre-Semester season. SPSC will take the lead in scheduling duty schedules, staff meetings, as well as coordinating any programming needs. SPSC may also work on special projects with the Assistant Director of Residential Services (ADR.) The SPSC will work about 27 hours a week. Compensation: SPSC will need to live on campus and Residential Life will cover the cost of Summer Housing. SPSC will receive a $2,400 stipend in addition to the free Summer Housing. The SPSC will need to purchase their own meal plan. Position Overview: In this leadership role, you will be working closely with the ADR and the Summer Residence Hall Director. SPSC will assist with key management, oversee the residential life inbox, and assist SPSCs with office hours in the summer residence hall (Dupre Hall.) SPSC will assist ADR with new student housing portal tasks and taking the lead with student/ support system questions in the Residential Life inbox. SPSC will also assist with the coordination of social media posts and student communications for Summer Move-in, Summer Closing, Pre-Semester Move-in, First Year Move-in, and Returner Move-in. SPSC will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of a team of student assistants, alongside the ADR, to ensure smooth housing operations from late May until the returner move-in weekend in late August. Restricted dates for vacation time (all students must be able to work during this time.) May 10 from 10:00 am- noon and 2:00-4:00pm. (Staff Training) May 13 from noon-4pm. (Last Wave of Closing/ Transitional Housing begins) May 18 from 9:00am -4:00pm (Summer Housing Move-In.) July 31 from 9:00am-4:00pm (Summer Housing Move-Out.) August 14 from 9:00am-4:00pm (First Day of Pre-Semester.) August 26 from 7:30am-4:00pm on (First Year Move-In.) August 31 - September 1 from 7:30- 4:30pm (Returner Move-In.)
Other things to know: SPSC will report to the Assistant Director of Residential Life and Summer Residence Hall Director. SPSAs will serve on an on-call rotation from May 13th - August 26th. SPSC is expected to work from May 10 through September 2nd. Training will start on May 10th from noon-2pm. Staff must be able to attend weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30pm.

Lead and supervise a team of student assistants Serve as the main point of contact between the team and professional staff Organize and facilitate weekly team meetings Manage the on-call rotation schedule for the team Provide guidance and support to team members in responding to resident needs and emergencies.
